Our Accreditations

We ensure compliance with the latest regulations, proudly demonstrated by our industry-leading accreditations.

The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) is the UK’s aviation regulator. Vantage UAV operates under strict CAA criteria, ensuring full compliance with legal and industry standards. This commitment to safety and regulation demonstrates our reliability and dedication to conducting operations at the highest level, providing peace of mind for our clients.

ISO 27001

ISO 27001 is a global standard for information security, providing guidelines to protect data and manage security risks. For Vantage UAV, this certification demonstrates our commitment to safeguarding sensitive information. Our clients can trust that their data is secure and handled according to industry best practices.

Cyber Essentials is a UK government-backed certification that helps businesses protect against common cyber threats by implementing essential security measures. Our certification shows that we've taken proactive steps to secure our networks and manage access controls, giving clients confidence that their data is safe from online threats.

Pilot Qualifications

We prioritise safety and expertise, reflected in the advanced qualifications of our pilots.

A2 CofC

What is it?
The A2 Certificate of Competency (A2 CofC) is a qualification for drone pilots that enables them to fly smaller, lighter drones safely and legally nearer uninvolved people and buildings for commercial and hobbyist purposes. It equips pilots with key knowledge on safe flight procedures, airspace regulations, and risk management. The A2 CofC is an absolute minimum requirement, however, all of our operational field pilots fly with the GVC certification.

What does this mean?
Our pilots carry the A2 CofC as an absolute minimum. This certification guarantees that our pilots follow safety protocols, meet regulatory requirements, and are committed to conducting drone operations with the highest level of professionalism, however, all our operational pilots are required to carry the more advanced GVC certification.

GVC Certified

What is it?
The General Visual Line of Sight Certificate (GVC) is an advanced certification for drone pilots, allowing them to operate drones within visual line of sight under more complex and controlled conditions. It includes comprehensive training on flight planning, risk assessments, and adherence to aviation regulations. To obtain this qualification, Pilots will have been trained and tested for flight competence by an external CAA-approved instructor and examiner.

What does this mean?
By having the GVC qualification, our pilots are able to perform a wider range of drone operations, with larger, heavier aircraft including those that require meticulous planning and a higher level of expertise. Our clients can trust that our pilots are highly skilled, follow strict safety and regulatory standards, and are capable of handling more demanding drone projects with precision and care.

50+ Hours Flight Experience

What is it?
All of our drone pilots are required to have a minimum of 50 hours of flight experience and are fully vetted prior to field work.  This extensive experience ensures that our pilots are not only skilled in operating drones but are also well-versed in handling a variety of scenarios and conditions.

What does this mean?
This level of experience demonstrates that our pilots are highly proficient, reliable, and capable of executing complex drone operations accurately, safely and with confidence. For our clients, it means they can trust that their projects are in the hands of seasoned professionals who prioritise safety, accuracy, and high-quality results every time.
